Come Experience the Power of God through His Word & Faith

Word and Faith Church MISSION is to Equip and Edify ( instruct / improve moral and intellectual character) believers through sound biblical teaching and to go out to the world and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Word and Faith Church is called to reach the lost and teach the found!

We are called to reach out beyond the walls of this church and be a demonstration of the principles of the kingdom of God in the earth. Not only do we assume responsibility for this local church, but for our community, our state, our nation, and our world. We are called to be the moral conscience of society, influencing our government and setting a standard of righteousness.

Word and Faith Church VISION is to bring Honor, Holiness, and Faith back to God. We are called to disciple men, women, children, marriages (man and woman), and have them disciple others. We are here to develop God-given gifts and talents and to inspire a spirit of excellence in the Lord. Our vision is to see Spirit-filled believers who are governed by the principles of God’s Word and lead a victorious life.

Who We Are & What to Expect

Who is Word & Faith Church

Word & Faith Church is a new, thriving, multicultural, multiracial church that's full of love for God and the people of God. We believe and follow “ONLY” the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and His Apostles. Word and Faith Church is free to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit without constraints of governing bodies who may not take into account the needs of a local congregation. Word and Faith Church focus on the central issues of the gospel without becoming sidetracked by minor issues that cause division and strife. Word and Faith Church believes the scriptures have only “ONE” interpretation but can reach people were they are ( 2 Tim 3:16-17). Word and Faith Church models the words of Jesus Christ,“All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away” (John 6:37). Word and Faith believes the Body of Christ is made up of “everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord” (Acts 2:21), and the gospel of salvation by grace through faith unites believers, despite our differences.

"A glowing testimonial! Highly recommended!"

Visionary & Founder ~ Bishop Ronald Taylor Jr.

Ronald's compassionate heart, steadfast dedication, unique hunger and thirst for truth, love for history, passion for people, and hope for change propelled him into loving God with all his heart, mind, and soul; served as the foundation of his relationship with Jesus; and humbled him to accept his call to propagate the Gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching sound biblical doctrine, and building up the faith of believers.

Ronald served as Vice President, mentor, and speaker for the GEWWELS ministry from 2007 to present; he served as minister and audio coordinator of Rose of Sharon International Worship Center 2008 to 2013; and he launched out into the deep when he planted his first church The Body of Christ International Ministries in 2014.

Ronald graduated in 2014 from St. Louis Christian College where he studied and pursued a degree in Christian Ministry with a minor in Biblical Studies. His studies include Master's of Theology, Pastoral Care, and Christian & Professional Counseling. Ronald was ordained as Pastor in 2013 and later consecrated in the office of Bishop in 2015. Ronald's passion and spiritual call propels him to empower people to know the truth, live the truth, and experience God's best according to the Word of God.

He is unashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he uninhibitedly expels all false doctrine and points people to God's truth. He fervently studies to show himself approved and is always ready and prepared to defend the faith. His calm demeanor draws people to him and his expository teaching style breaks down the most difficult biblical arguments. He loves God, he loves to see people free from bondage mentally and spiritually.

In addition to serving in ministry, he is employed as Bereavement Counselor / Chaplain at Southland Hospice, where he assists families through the end of life process.

Our Story

We’ve loved every minute of our journey

 Humble Beginnings

Ronald and Chara Taylor left their comfortable home of St. Louis, MO to serve in ministry in the desert of Tempe, Arizona. Their Arizona ministry began with weekly bible study in their living room, and Sunday morning services in the clubhouse of their apartment complex. As the ministry grew, they launched out and began having services in the Tempe Plaza. After a down spiral of unfortunate events, they closed the ministry and sought God on serving.

With the closing of The Body of Christ International Worship Center in 2016, Ronald humbly ceased leading to learn more about the land of Arizona before planting and establishing ministry again. He has humbly served at Sun Valley Community Church as the leader of the Hospitality Team, Small Group Leader for the Student's Ministry. Chara joined the Sun Valley staff and serves as the Guest Services Director leading the team of greeter, usher, parking, lobby, hospitality, and traditional volunteers. In the spring of 2018, they began holding weekly bible study again in their home, this time with a group of 13 regular attendees. Additionally, Ronald and Chara host monthly teaching seminars throughout the valley teaching on biblical topics.

Relaunch, Increase, Expansion

In 2019, Ronald will relaunch ministry with the opening of Word and Faith Church as the Senior Pastor, where he will serve with his wife Chara A. Taylor.

Come back for more as we prepare to launch into the deep with a RELAUNCH and Grand Opening.

Statement of Faith

We believe in ONE God, who is Revealed to us as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is ONE…loving, holy and just.

We believe God, as Father, reigns over His entire universe with providential care. He is all-powerful, all loving, all knowing, and all wise. He is fatherly in attitude toward all men but is Father, indeed, to those who have become children of God through Jesus Christ, Who will deliver them into the Father’s hands.

We believe that Jesus Christ (Son) is the Spirit of God wrapped in Human Flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. He is our High Priest and Mediator.

We believe that the Holy Spirit ( Breath and Power of God) is our Comforter. He guides us in all areas of our lives. He equips believers with spiritual gifts, empowers believers to yield the fruit of the Spirit, and equips believers to war against the powers of darkness (Spiritual Warfare) by using the name of Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word. It is non contradicted in itself and accurate. It is our perfect guide in all matters of life.

We believe that sin has separated us all from God, and that “ONLY” through Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to God.

We believe that salvation is the gift of God to man. This gift is given by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ and it is shown through good works pleasing to God.

We believe that baptism is an outward declaration for those who accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord and is an act of obedience. When baptized, we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe that the biblical model for baptism is immersion.

We believe that the Holy Communion is a sacred celebration of Jesus’ death and our remembrance of Him.

We believe that God wants to transform, heal and prosper us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives, even in troubled times, that will impact and help others.

We believe in marriage between male and female.

We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promise.
